I decided to drive Route 66 the night my kneecap popped off in the bathroom of the lodge at Camp Wesley Woods. Driving home in the wee hours after a trip to the emergency room, staying awake by rolling the windows down to let in the brisk October air, the delirium of the pain, the oldies on the radio...that's when I officially announced, "I'm going to drive Route 66." I am lucky to have three wonderful, adventurous, history geek friends who are ready to hit the road with me.
Someone needs to enlighten me before I go crazy! A bazillion people have found our blog recently because they've Googled "Mile 1139." Is there some other significance to Mile 1139 (Ooooh, are they a hip new boy band?) or was there recently a clue on Treasure Hunters or Jeopardy about the midway point of Route 66?

i believe it is only open to registered marlboro smokers
you call in for a book of 100 questions; very tough questions about "Marlboro Country" the west ie nev cali new mex etc - only those states hold the answers to the clues
the question people are trying to find the answer to by searching mile 1139 is
#25 - At 1139 you'd be halfway there. Send us a photo of the sign proving it.

i suppose, i, like most others, assumed this was a mile marker sign or a sign saying 1139 you're halfway there
as you can see these are tough questions
you get a team of four together answer as many correct as you can and send them in
20 most answered correctly go the ranch and the top number answered correctly wins the million
you play in teams of four and it's a blast
it is very tough and very misleading; though we have a lot of the answers already - hee hee
this is my first year and i'm lovin it so far
back to my virtual road trip through the west
